Lasers4MaaS Online Workshop on Laser-Production-as-a-Service
Overview
The digitalization and servitization of laser welding processes have the potential to transform manufacturing by making advanced laser technologies more accessible, flexible and data-driven. Through the integration of real-time monitoring, artificial intelligence, digital twins and cloud-based platforms, manufacturers can optimize process performance, improve quality control and reduce production costs. At the same time, Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS) and Laser-as-a-Service models enable companies, particularly SMEs, to access high-end laser welding capabilities without significant capital investment, fostering innovation, scalability and more resilient industrial value chains.
In this meeting, we will discuss about the activities developed under the Lasers4MaaS project, both in testing the improvement of laser welding with dynamic beam shaping results for different industrial use cases and developing digital platforms which will support the goals of servitization and decentralization of the future welding tasks.
